Keith Elcombe was Organ Scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge, and is now Senior Lecturer in Music and University Organist at Manchester University. He is also conductor of the University Chorus with whom he has performed Britten's War Requiem and Bach's St. Matthew Passion . He plays continuo with a number of chamber ensembles and orchestras, and specialises in performing keyboard music of the 16th and 17th centuries. His critical writings are well known and he is a frequent contributor to various scholarly publications.
