Ian Holtham

Ian Holtham is Head of Keyboard at the University of Melbourne. A pupil of Geza Anda among others, he also studied composition and conducting at the Guildhall School of Music. He has performed and given masterclasses throughout Europe, Asia and Australia and has regularly broadcast with the ABC.
Ian has a prodigious mastery of the piano repertoire and has released several CDs. He is best known as an interpreter of the classical and romantic repertoire, but also champions contemporary music. Several of the pieces on his Move CD "Giants in the Land" were written at his instigation.
