Trio Gemelli made its debut in Madrid in 1994 and since then has given a series of successful concerts both in the UK and in continental Europe. The Trio gave its first London performance when chosen to take part in the Park Lane Group Young Concert Artists Series on the South Bank in 1997; for this performance the Trio commissioned a new work by Fraser Trainer, Hammers, Levers and Strings. It made a highly acclaimed Wigmore Hall debut in 1997 and commissioned and premièred the new work by Hugh Wood at the Cheltenham International Music Festival. Trio Gemelli has recorded the music to several BBC TV documentaries and has appeared on BBC Radio 3 and 4. John and Adrian Bradbury are identical twins and have been playing together since the age of eight. John has been a member of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the London Symphony Orchestra, and is now principal clarinet of the BBC Philharmonic. Adrian plays and makes regular chamber music broadcasts with such groups as The London Sinfonietta, Jane's Minstrels, the Composers' Ensemble, the Scottish Ensemble, Ensemble Moderne and the Touchwood Piano Quartet. John Bradbury (violin) is also a member of the musical ensemble on "The Wartime Picnics" - a musical by Peter Cork. |
